To celebrate the season of giving, we gave our nearest and dearest a party to remember. For the second annual Twenty Two Media holiday party, we gathered friends of Foodism and Escapism and ‘rec’ed the halls all night long at food and entertainment mecca, the Rec Room.
We snacked on passed canapés like caprese salad bites and calamari cones before chowing down on a full blown buffet, courtesy of the Rec Room.
The Dress to Empress, a bubbly purple cocktail made with Empress 75 Gin and FIOL Prosecco, was the drink of the day, along with an Ocean Organic Vodka Collins. Brew enthusiasts sipped on Goose Island IPA, while a Viña Casablanca Reserva Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon rounded out the night’s offerings.
Guests felt like they were walking in a whisky wonderland with plenty of the golden spirit on hand. At the bar, a festive take on the classic tipple, dubbed a “Noel’d Fashioned”, was stirred up with Black Bottle Scotch Whisky. Meanwhile, a cozy tasting lounge with Deanston Scotch doubled the whisky fun.
At the Amarula sensory station, the creamy desert liqueur was served in a saccharine cocktail or passed out in an edible chocolate shot glass – talk about a sweet treat.
All in all, we’d call it a wild success.
