Head up to the fifth floor, where the soft-spoken staff at Spa MyBlend welcome you by name — a nice touch that helps you ease into the plush atmosphere from the start.
Spa MyBlend at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto is home to three beautiful relaxation lounges where you can let the stress melt off before your treatment and continue the feeling of bliss afterwards. My personal favourite is the large Coed Sanctuary, where vaulted ceilings, intricate light fixtures and warm shades of brown and cream welcome you in. Settle into one of the loungers with a book or a magazine while you wait for your treatment — and order a glass of champagne, of course.

A visit to Spa MyBlend comes with a lot more than just your treatment. Guests who book any spa treatment for 60 minutes or longer gain full access to the spa, pool and fitness centre, so be sure to either arrive well in advance of your treatment or plan to stay afterwards (or both — we could spend all day here). The aroma-infused steam room, sauna and vitality pool are all available to enjoy at your leisure.
If your idea of a wellness day includes a workout, the fitness centre hosts a full range of equipment to get that adrenaline pumping. Sweat it out on a Peloton, stationary bike, elliptical or a treadmill, or go for the free weights or weight machines.
Once your heart is pumping, cool off with a shower and a dip in the expansive pool — my personal favourite. The pool room is flooded with natural sunlight from the large windows overlooking the city, providing the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing swim.

The wide range of treatments here offer full rejuvenation from head to toe. There are body scrubs, mud wraps and skin peels, plus manicures and pedicures. Massages are performed by Registered Massage Therapists (so you can use your health benefits, if you’ve got them), and range from Swedish and deep tissue to hot stone massages. They also offer a range of massage techniques from around the world, like shiatsu and reiki from Japan and Lomi Lomi from Polynesia.
There are almost a dozen different kinds of facials offered at Spa MyBlend, but don't let that overwhelm you — every treatment is customized to suit each individual. Based on how your skin feels and reacts, the experts will personalize the treatment and the products used so that you're getting the best care for your individual skin needs.
The coolest part about getting a facial at Spa MyBlend — and something you won't find anywhere else — is their high-tech LED mask. The mask uses 144 infrared pulsed lights perfectly distanced from the skin, temperature variations and micro-currents to deeply stimulate the skin leading to its own powerful self-regeneration. The length of time and temperature are personalized for your skin type to deliver the strongest results in the least amount of time. The LED mask treatment can be added onto a facial or used as a treatment on its own, and you can even buy your own personal mask for a cool $1400 (if you've got the mula, it is so worth it).

In May, Spa MyBlend re-launched their product line in France, where the brand originates, and now the state-of-the-art skin technology is available in Toronto. Their beauty tech directly targets the cells, helping them regenerate, repair and become healthier for stronger, younger looking skin.
Since my recent visit to Spa MyBlend, I’ve been using the Revitalizing Cream, a powerful product that delivers 24-hour hydration and pollution protection, and the Radiance Serum, and I have to say, my skin looks better than it ever has (including when I was in my early twenties). My skincare regime has been officially upgraded.
