Getting out of the city over the summer just got a whole lot easier. For the second year in a row, GO Transit has partnered with Ontario Northland to offer a bus-and-train service that takes passengers straight to cottage country.

The Ontario Northland bus will run every Friday between June 28 to August 30th and will connect to the 4:10 p.m. GO Train to take passengers to the Muskoka region, making stops in Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Huntsville and North Bay.

There will be one departing and one returning trip each weekend. The return service will make all stops (North Bay to Gravenhurst) before connecting at Allandale Waterfront GO Station to the 4:20 p.m. Toronto-bound train.

You can buy tickets online through the Ontario Northland website, which will give you access to both the GO Train service and the bus to the Muskoka region (no Presto tapping necessary).

Prices for one-way tickets to Gravenhurst start as low as $38.96, making it an affordable option for a weekend getaway.
