Widely regarded as one of the most influential music creators of this era, Avicii left an incredible mark on the EDM scene that rippled across music genres. In 2012, he became the first DJ to ever headline the world-famous Radio City Music Hall in New York. He’s been credited for bringing electronic dance music into the mainstream and onto top 40 charts.
The music industry and fans around the world were devastated in 2018, when, after a long battle with mental health and substance abuse, Avicii took his own life at 28 years old. Set to open in 2021 in Stockholm, the Avicii Experience will celebrate the life of the Swedish DJ and pay tribute to the legacy he left behind, while allowing fans to feel closer to him.
Immersive, interactive and deeply emotional, the exhibition will follow Tim Bergling’s journey from making music in his childhood bedroom at eight years old, to becoming world-famous superstar Avicii. Fans will be able to look inside Bergling’s life and creation process with never before seen footage and photos, and hear previously unreleased music, including early versions of his hit song Levels.
A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Tim Bergling Foundation, which aims to raise awareness about suicide and mental health, and support causes that Bergling was passionate about like climate change, global hunger and the preservation of wildlife.
