The Pearle Hotel & Spa: Why go?

When the sunlight hits the sparkling blue lake just right, it’s hard to believe I’m still in Ontario. Burlington’s breathtaking waterfront is brimming with life in the summertime, and a stay at The Pearle Hotel & Spa gives you prime access to all of it. Right outside the hotel, you’ll find a waterside boardwalk, Brant Street Pier and Spencer Smith Park. Local bars and restaurants, cute cafés and boutique shops line the surrounding area, with the iconic Spencer’s At The Waterfront restaurant just a stone’s throw away. But the gorgeous hotel will compete for your time, begging you to stay in.

The Pearle Hotel & Spa: Rest your head

My jaw drops from the moment I walk into the dazzling lobby, wrapped with twin spiral staircases and dangling pendant lights. The whole hotel is washed in soothing seaside colours that instantly lull me into relaxation mode. Elegant, beachy rooms with sweeping views of the endless blue lake remind me of the Caribbean. Comfortable beds, ample storage space and a beautiful light wood bathroom with a rainfall shower add to The Pearle’s luxurious feel. Amenities include a full-blown spa, a gym and an indoor pool lined with loungers and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the terrace.

The Pearle Hotel & Spa: What’s on the menu?

Isabelle Restaurant & Lounge is an attraction in its own right. The nautical-chic dining room offers waterside views to a handful of tables, and a buzzy, high-end atmosphere for everyone. A new partnership with Alo Food Group is behind the menu of hits. Dunking house-made pita into an addicting whipped feta with date syrup and harissa threatens to fill me up before tucking into lightly breaded, crispy calamari with house hot sauce and lemon aioli, and gnocchi in a slow-cooked tomato sauce with burrata on top. But the standout is an irresistible, herbal pesto linguine with kale, pecorino and a butter-poached half lobster.
