What is it?
Fjällräven’s Ulvo Rolltop is a smart daypack that combines the streamlined style of a backpack with the water resistance of a dry bag. The Ulvo is constructed from Bergshell, a new type of nylon fabric from Fjällräven that’s completely waterproof and very durable.
Its dry-bag-inspired roll-top closure provides an additional level of protection against moisture plus, when it’s rolled up, it forms a convenient crescent-shaped handle for picking up the bag from the top. The bag’s fabric is designed to be equally strong in all directions to minimize the likelihood of tearing.
Why do I need it?
We love gear that serves you equally well on the road as it does at home, and the Ulvo Rolltop does exactly that. The waterproof construction means you can count on this bag to keep your belongings dry even in the wettest weather, which makes it handy for trekking and hiking in unpredictable conditions. The shoulder straps with ventilating airmesh and supportive chest straps give this bag additional technical cred.
But this versatile bag transitions easily to everyday use as well, featuring a padded interior laptop compartment for keeping your tech gear safe from bumps. For commuters travelling by bike, the bag’s logo is made from reflective material and there’s a loop on the front that you can use to attach a bike lamp.
Should I buy it?
If you’re looking for a backpack that you can take from the office, around the world and back again, then the Ulvo Rolltop is a great choice.
In line with Fjällräven’s commitment to sustainability, the bag is also made from 31 per cent recycled nylon. We also love the light interior material, which makes it easy to find and organize your belongings, whether you’re carrying your work lunch or your hiking gear.
