Bone-chilling fun awaits at Legends of Horror and Zombie Apocalypse

As the final days of summer fade into sun-soaked memories, we start rubbing our hands together in anticipation of what fall promises to bring: spooky season.

When you’re not sipping a PSL or baking an apple pie, seek out a night of frights at one of the best Toronto Halloween attractions. From September 29 to October 31, Legends of Horror is back for its eighth year of scaring all those brave enough to enter the castle grounds.

Casa Loma has been transformed into a ghoulish scene. Guests of all ages walk a two-kilometre trail around the castle and encounter theatrical interpretations of classic horror movies and genres. Terrifying surprises await, including dramatic lighting, enormous animatronics, live actors and much more…

Casa Loma is lit up in ghastly projections to complete the devilish atmosphere. When we visited, the haunting scene reminded us of Nosferatu’s castle.

Also returning this year is Zombie Apocalypse, a haunted maze for an older crowd where the frights are bigger. Guests are invited into the fictional world of pharma giant Biolux and meet an army of the undead.
