The Vibe

With distinctive island decor and striking views of St. Lucia’s famed Pitons, Anse Chastanet offers an alluring blend of local character and luxury. Set on a tree-covered, 600 acre property overlooking Soufriere Bay, the resort features access to two gorgeous beaches with excellent snorkelling and diving. There’s a network of scenic jungle trails running through the property, a lovely spa and a range of wonderful dining options, some of which incorporate produce grown on the resort’s farm. Limited in-room technology, artsy yet swish guest rooms and a peaceful setting make this high-end property best for quiet, romantic getaways.

The Rooms

Anse Chastanet’s rooms are dotted throughout the hillside and along the beachfront. Each room features a unique, island-inspired look, decorated with St. Lucia’s national madras print fabrics, local wood furniture and vivid original artwork.

Purposefully unplugged, TVs and phones are absent but there is free Wi-Fi. All rooms have mini-fridges and free coffee-and-tea making facilities, along with luxe Molton Brown bath products. Some rooms also have private pools, or dramatic open fourth walls that offer unbeatable Piton views and natural breezes.

The Features

The resort’s two white sand beaches are a highlight, with the Anse Chastanet Reef just off the coast offering exceptional snorkelling and diving opportunities. Kayaking, sailing and other watersports are also available, while, on land, the large, forested grounds lend themselves to hiking, biking, and birdwatching.

Dining options include two casual beachfront restaurants, one of which makes a mean burger served on grilled Johnny cakes. True to its name, Treehouse Restaurant offers an airy dining experience with beautiful hillside vistas. Emerald’s serves up an all-vegetarian menu, much of which is sourced from the resort’s own farm. The farm also provides some of the natural ingredients used in treatments at the resort’s spa.

The Location

Set on a hill above Soufriere Bay and surrounded by lush jungle, Anse Chastanet feels serene and secluded. The colourful town of Soufriere is a 15-minute drive away, and it's less than 20 minutes by car to attractions like Diamond Botanical Gardens and Sulphur Springs. The road down to Soufriere from the resort is quite bumpy, so guests also have the option of taking a boat taxi. It’s about an hour’s drive to Hewanorra International Airport.
